    Purell...does NOT kill the virus.

    Public service announcement:

Purell is alcohol-free, and therefore, is not effective against the virus. To work, it must contain at least 60% alcohol.

    Check it out:

Sanitizers that don’t contain the CDC’s recommended minimum of 60% alcohol are flying off store shelves and listed by sellers on Amazon for outrageous prices. Here is what you need to know.

I’ve used Purell and there is no way it’s alcohol free.
I’m sure they make a version that’s alcohol free but most of their stuff has alcohol.

FYI the company I work for sells germ-x and hospital grade disinfectants.

Some of our hospital grade disinfectants kill the Coronavirus that has been around for a while but we are waiting on testing for the Covid19 strain that’s causing all the ruckus now. July seems to be the earliest we will hear back from the FDA.

We were told strictly to sell on proper hygiene/cleanliness and to make no claims that any of our products kill the Covid19 strain of Coronavirus.

This is a prime example of fear tactics. My bottle of Purell says 70% alcohol

McCallan is 80 proof. So that is better...right?

Thanks Burnadell. Good PSA. I did not know that.

But it only works twice between hand washing, If you use it without washing it forms a film on your hand and germs can set on the film. This is coming from medical experts in my family.

They said soap and water was better than hand sanitizer didn’t they?

I used the word Proof, not percent.
You didn't really think I was using McCallan scotch to wash my hands now ...did you?
