Whining is a waste of energy. You guys want to find a little corner of the internet and mop each others' tears up with tampons, get after it, but don't be surprised if someone peeks into your public space and has a difference of opinion. Any of y'all lived in a foreign country? Got an idea what it's like to live under a different system of government or wealth distribution or you just want to gripe about living in the best place on earth because you don't have more productive outlets for your energy?
Petty nitpicking and personal attacks say more about you fellas than they do me.
Them innanets brings out the best in people! SMH
So just because we have it better here than other places, it gives us no right to speak our against what is unfair treatment at the hand of OUR, The People’s government??

Sure thing.
LOL
"Whining" is the first way to spread word to other voters. Staying quiet and taking it up the rear end gets you nothing but a lose rear.

There are guys on here that have worked hard their entire lives and have been taxed out of the homes they worked hard for. Also guys who have been taxed out of property they have cared for for years.
I’m sure they are comforted knowing that they’d be worse off in Mexico.
I guess we should kiss the feet of those that have wasted us into this mess.
IMO when you sell a house all the property taxes you've paid over the years should cancel against the "profits". Same for all the repairs/work over the years.
And if they are considered a money maker when you sell, you should be able to write off the losses when you sell also.
****.... never even thought about the bigger picture. Way to get the BP up there.
I try to avoid thinking about it cause the tax man has his hand in every pocket and aspect of my life. Yet keeps trying to get more.

Apparently, he's forgotten... (or never learned)-----
How this country, became what it is...….

I’ve tried not to get upset about it. I own a nice piece of property and house that I no longer live in due to work requirements. It has been paid for a long time. Various people that visited in the past commented how nice it was and they loved the big oak trees. I’ve been hanging onto it since a developer was supposed to buy me out for a good price. Just this month I get a tax bill for double what they were last year. Double??? At this rate I can’t afford to hold onto the property much longer unless a miracle or blessing happens. Why should I have to suddenly pay double the tax value on something that has no loan or lien attached? It’s 100% paid for.

Because there are bureaucrats with cushy jobs requiring a 6 figure pension when they retire from doing nothing and friends of theirs that have money to make off of unneeded projects they were promised.
I truly am sorry to hear about your situation. It seems the leadership in the country at all levels is hell-bent on destroying the American dream.

It’s a **** shame! It’s as I’ve we never own the property!
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his azz.
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...
Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
to my doom...'
When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom was able to stay home to raise the kids.
Only problem I have is the difference in assets. Someone can have a million in the stock market with no taxes, but a million in land you pay property taxes. JMO. No big deal. Sales tax is the only way to go, but the Feds will not do that.

No not at all... I prolly popped off a little strongly. Call it a bad day.
Sometimes I just get sick of all the negativity.
Accept my apologies.
It is, however, pretty well established that the Boston Tea Party was motivated by the personal financial interests of smugglers. link
