Excellent write up Seth! I could see where this would go if you were to set up an outside rainwater collection system to feed your indoor 250 gallon storage tank, all being supported by a solar pump system.

@texas grown..definitely could! We thought about setting up collection but haven’t thus far. Fortunately we do have power.

For anyone reading, if the water comes from a non treated source, you may need to chlorinate a bit and if not storing in dark, opt for covering or opaque storage...probably more knowledgeable folks on here than me in that area
