If I know Rob, he's already tied up a dozen more of whatever fly he caught that on, has the spot marked on GPS, and will be stealthily wading in from 1/2 mile out, with the sun in his face...

Awesome trophy, Roberto! Only you brother....

Very cool! I caught a few in May, but in Turks & Caicos, not Texas.

I'm not a saltwater guru....but you, Sir, have won the saltlife lottery!

Not many people in that club!

I was on 2cool or TFF the other day and there was a thread about all the bonefish being caught on the big party boats lately. Something to do with weather conditions/tidal anomalies/water temps etc. that was pushing them into newer waters.

Keep your spots and techniques secret until you get one for the wall!

Are bonefish regulated, or protected in any way in Texas?

They started showing up in TPWD gill net surveys about 10-15 years ago. I remember seeing a couple of decent size ones caught in some type of net in Corpus Christi Bay awhile back.

Too cool, congrats. Fished for them only one time off the north end of Cozumel and could not get one hooked.

And, congrats! I have never heard of someone actually catching one on a rod and reel.

My son caught one on a piece of breakfast sausage and a hand line in Cozumel. Didn't know they strayed up to Texas.
