Stinkhorns are mushrooms that can appear in mulch, lawns, and areas with bare soil. Stinkhorns do not cause plant disease, and can be beneficial, as described in this factsheet.

Stinkhorn Fungis - found them the other day at our farm. They smell like death!

yep, stinkhorn. One whiff and you know you won't be eating that. They are interesting looking though.

“...are short-lived and will naturally disappear quite rapidly.”

        Well that’s unfortunate.

Hah! I’ve never met your wife but I already like her!

Our credo: Everything tastes better with chocolate. (Of course, the same could be said about bacon, too.)

That puts out one of the most rancid smells I've ever encountered.

If you never heard it, just google Ron White and chocolate. I’m sure it will come up!!!!
Ron “I had the right to remain silent, but I didn’t have the ability” White is one of my favorite comics. I don’t remember his comments on chocolate so will take your advice and look it up on YouTube. Of course, this will lead to a convo with my husband about the time we saw him live at the Paramount in Austin which, in turn, will lead us to searching for all the live performance jokes on YouTube, probably keeping us up until all hours on Monday morning.

                            Thank you very much.
