Wood prices omg!!!!!

Glad to be done with wood related projects for the time being. Had to put off several because the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

Tell me about it. Wife and I both retired on 12-31-2020. We planned for years to build our "forever" home in Central TX. While we could get top dollar for our existing home, it would now cost about 150K more to build a new one and it is smaller than the one we are in. Unless something changes drastically, I guess we are where we are.

Was going to build my wife a new box blind. 7/16 osb 67.98 a sheet. Guess she will have to deal with the old leaking blind.

I know it's sky high but I haven't seen it that high, where was this at?

Same thing I was thinking. It headed that way fast and will probably be there in another month but Home Depot is still around $45.

I agree. I built 3 wood blinds over the years and finally bought a fiberglass blind in 2007. It is just as good today other than I need to paint it. I could probably sell it for more than I paid for it to. Try doing that with a wood blind.

Nothing wrong with a fiberglass blind at all. If you build a plywood/wood type blind and put 30# felt paper around the outside, tin on the roof there is no reason it shouldn’t last 20-30-40 years. I have them from the 1980’s.

I’m just going to buy a Krivoman. Was looking at building a new bow blind and the cost of wood literally is more than a Krivoman.

I looked the sheds outside Lowe's Friday and they didn't have prices on them. I went inside and asked how much and was told they're not selling any because the don't know how much they will cost anymore. I asked when will they sell them and they said they didn't know. I bought a 8'x12' Alpine shed in January for $2,100 and it's $3,100 now.
