Default Whatís Your Preferred Lease Sidearm?

Curious to see what everyoneís lease sidearm?

I am open to new ideas for a good reasonably priced deer lease side arm.

I currently carry a Rossi .357 3Ē Revolver staggered with hollow points and rat/snake shot. I am not worried about it being banged up, dusty, or wet. It operates flawlessly every time.

Thinking about something more compact and lightweight in a revolver though.

What are you carrying?

Sometimes .380 LCP in front pocket.
Sometimes subcompact .40.
Sometimes Judge with 3- .410's and 2- 45 LC's.
Sometimes a Glock 40 in 10mm.

All borrowed from a friend of course .

I think your 3" Rossi is just about as good as it gets for an all around do it all pistol for lease work.

Same here. Some of my favorite ‘ranch personas’ are the guys in unscuffed Chippewas, pressed jeans w/ tucked in button downs, short brim felt hats, and big pistols on their side.

A judge would be my preferred ranch sidearm, various rifles in the truck work fine though.

Cz 75b 9mm most of the time but I mix it up with my .357 security six, xds 45, and shield 9mm. This year I’ll have a .22 mag in a crossdraww holster thanks to Academy and their $99 special. Lol

Use to be my Colt Delta Elite.

Recently traded my Glock Gen 4 19 for a Gen 4 20 so the Delta will be staying in the safe more often than not while the 20 will be with me when I'm out and about on the ranch.

On me either a Sig or HK .45ACP and in my front pocket a little NAA 22 5 shot revolver. Keep a Ruger SP101 .357 in my pack when hunting...
When out working, usually one of the .45's.

I don't like to carry a heavy pistol when I'm hunting, so normally just my M&P Shield 9mm. Does everything I need it to in an oh crap moment.

It depends if during season and possibly tracking it's the 4" 629 with hard cast. All other time it is the 4" 686+ with 158 jhp.

Just a question and I an not ragging on anyone, but why all of the ratshot? I guess I am different but I have shot very few snakes a rock or stick always does the trick. I am more worried about stepping on a grumpy pig than anything else and generally those run off. Like I said not poking fun at anyone I've just never been that worried about a snake.
