Default Would you do it?

Would you spend 24 hours alone bobbing in the ocean with just a life jacket?

No lights, no boats, no land nearby. Out of sight of anything.

How much $$$ would it be worth?

Edit: you will be gps tracked so no danger of actually getting lost

Well since there's a chance my legs will be bitten off by a shark by the time they come back for me,I'd do it for a million. Probably half a million.

Maybe for $3m , but most people would probably go insane from exposure
Even 90 degree water will kill you if you donít have a survival suit
And most stinging sea creatures come out at night to feed on plankton
24 hours in the water would probably require some hospital time
So maybe $3m wouldnít be enough
By end it would be like running through hell in gasoline soaked underwear

No.

Wouldn't worry too much about sharks, but hypothermia would be the real killer.

Do I at least get a knife? Is it a guaranteed payout to either me when I come out or my family if I’m swallowed whole? If so, I think $250K would do it. Would at least pay off the house and my wife’s car if I were to get hung up.

My dad spent 12 hours floating in Lyte Gulf on December 7th 1944 after the ship he was on (USS Mahan) was hit by a Japanese bomber during the Battle of Lyte Gulf.

To answer your question...hell no!

It changed his life and mine...I got to live with the man!

Think hard before you say yes for any amount of money!

If you have ever spent the night offshore shark fishing you would say no believe me. You would definitely be getting circles by 10ft plus tigers, hammers and bulls in the gulf. The bulls and tigers like to do a check bite at times just to see what you are. That check bite by itself can killl you! So I’m saying 6 figures ++. You would definitely be in danger.

If this happens does my family get the money still? I didn't lose the challenge technically. That would have to be part of the deal for me. If I knew someone was getting the money if I wasn't there to receive it myself I'd be at peace with whatever happened.

I know a few people that really struggle through life and if that's what it took to change that,so be it. I have good folks waitin on me in Heaven so I'm cool with it.

There is a number, probably start around $100k.

People soak shark baits 24 hours, in sharky areas and dont get bit all the time. I am thinking the amount of man eaters in the ocean, divided by its size would be pretty small. Sun and water would be my biggest concern. Given the right equipment, wouldnt be much different than an extended Frio river float.
