Thanks guys. I would advise against using the cement epoxy southwest sells for setting balusters. It sets WAY too fast. We used it on the upstairs landing and instead used hot glue on the stair treads. Worked just fine, and no vibrating or loose balusters. Iíd probably just advise you hire a carpenter to do something of this magnitude. I made some mistakes, but youíd never know looking at them. It was a very nerve racking process. Worst part of what we did.

Molding is set on treads and landing. Took longer than I thought. Iíll finish trim work around landing upstairs tomorrow. Here are the pics I got tonight of the final product.

Looks good man. I'll have to swing by someday when you finish and see it.

Stick a fork in us. We are officially finished with the last bit of trim, which means the house is totally finished. Took us just under 8 months from the time I started finish carpentry until today. Glad itís over. Hereís the last pics of the trim around the stairs, and some pics of the front and back porches after we cleaned up all the tools and such.

I want to seriously thank everyone for the help and advice, and the kind words throughout this 5 year process. To be able to live on the land you hunt is a blessing, and Iím thankful for it. This will be my last update to this thread. Thanks to everyone for coming along for the ride.

Robby and Renee

I appreciate it. I genuinely hope it all looks like it should. We saved some money doing what we could. Plus apparently finding good subs is a problem in my area
