Not a hook but a weight. Terrible video but the weight was imbedded in his arm.

About 35 yrs ago, brother and I fishing off a dock of a small lake close by the house. I was behind him, sort of. We were fishing for bass using Rat-L-Traps. He turned to cast a different direction about the time I bent over for some reason. Hung me in my cheek and eyebrow! Two of the six hooks went in far enough and the barb poked out past the skin. Two more wore embedded deep. Cut the line and walked back to the house just a rattlin!! Dad cut the barb off the two and pushed those out. The other two were hanging on pretty good. Off to the doc we went! Could of been much worse for sure.....

A buddy hooked me in the back of the head with a rattletrap one day. Got me pretty good with one hook. All we had was a pair of old rusty pliers and lots of bud light. Pulled it out myself. It bled quite a bit since I ended up ripping it out. Kept on fishing.

Looks like fun OP.

I once had two points of the front treble on a skitterwalk deep in my hand with a very angry 20 inch speck still attached to the back treble. Fun times.

This is what I ended up doing. Only thing was, the doc didn't have a strong enough pair of pliers so I had to go find some needle nose pliers in my tool box. So glad for the deadening shots beforehand.

I used this trick to get the hook out.. about a hour later this guy walks up to me and says hey can you get the hook out of my hand.. he had what looked like a shark hook stuck in his palm below his thumb.. after 3 tries I finally got it out..

Dad got me with an H&H when I was about 8 years old. It stuck in my cheek. He held me down and pulled it out, said there was no way he was gonna take me home and let my momma see that! Years later my niece hooked him in the ear. I drove to the ER to try and pull it myself, but the doc beat me to it. Good times!

An old WWII friend and I were fishing a tank one morning and he had a bass on his fly rod ready to land. He lifted up the rod and the fish was just about on the bank--he had his had around the line/leader when the fish flipped and the hook came out and nailed him right in the index finger joint. He asked me to pull it out and I hesitated a bit and he said "If you think I'm going to the ER for this you better think again." Remember, WWII vet with Bronze Star (didn't come cheap then) and a Purple Heart---so I got set, clamped the pliers on the hook so I could pull straight out, and just as I was ready, I said "Look at that" while looking into the lake. He looked, I jerked, and out it came. Didn't want him to flinch and my distraction tactic worked like a charm. After it was out, he looked at me and said "Not bad for a young feller." I sure do miss him too--

Iíve only had one hook deep enough to have to push it on through and then cut off the barb. It sucked but worse than that was when I was probably 13 or so fishing in our pond and I had laid my pole down for some reason and then went to pick up and got a jitterbug caught in my beagles face. He took off at Mach 3 howling with me running behind him trying hit my button on the reel. He had a hook in his ear and cheek. Ended up at the vet, Dad was not happy.

Several years ago my dad was in a Tasco store and got the treble hook from a lure he was looking stuck in his hand and couldn't get it out. He had to buy the lure to be able to leave the store. I don't remember how he got it out.

I was holding onto a kayak in the surf with the other hand. Luckily I had dykes in the truck strong enough to cut the barn and pull back thru

Taking a carp off my sons line rod had a heavy bend and then it he hook came out. Went to the bone and back out of my finger. Stayed and fished for another hour and tried to pull it out myself but it was hung in the liner material of the bone. Had to go to the emergency room. Shot to deaden it hurt more than the hook.

Yep, just this morning. A customer of mine buried a 4/0 kahle hook in my big toe. Kind of a freak deal. I had just landed a redfish and unhooked it. I laid my rod down on the deck and was measuring the fish on the top of my fish box right behind the front deck. Dude fishing on the front deck goes to cast and hooks my rod. When he went to cast he threw my rod that he hooked out of the boat and in the water, jerked my hook into my big toe and did it with enough force that it snapped the 30# mono leader. I didn't see it unfold, I was concentrating on measuring my fish and putting it in the fish box. I just felt a stabbing jolt to my foot, looked down and there was a hook buried to the hilt in the side of my big toe. I had pliers laying there, I just quickly grabbed the hook, popped it HARD and ripped it out. I threw the pliers, said some bad words, retrieved my rod and went back to fishing.

Circle hook planted deep in the thumb, had to have it cut out and stitched up. Circle hooks suck in the flesh.

My buddyís girlfriend was throwing a rattle trap and he bent over to grab something.... wham! She buried both trebles in his ear. Almost yanked his head off. I did the honors, had to force the hooks through cartilage and clip him. I can still hear the noise it made as I pushed them through

Had another buddy throwing a crainkbait and pulls in a 5lb bass. Picks it up, drops it, second treble buries in his thumb, with flopping bass on other end. My other bud and I were laughing our buttís off. Him, not so much. He can laugh about it now

When I was 12, I used ride my bike to go fish. I would ride with rod pointed behind me. I was going down my driveway and my Mom gets out of car. I ride by and get yanked off my bike. My Mom is cussing me out (she never cussed). My River Runt hooked her through the ear. Like a pierced ear. I had to cut it out, lol. Not fun. Still have that River Runt, minus one hook on a treble

That was just the beginning. Then I had a redfish flip as I was unhooking it and I lost my grip on it. Caught me with the little sharp plate on the outside of it's gill and cut the heck out of my thumb. That was maybe a minute after I pulled the hook out of my toe. Just sliced the heck out of it. So I just fished and bled.

When we got back in to the dock and were cleaning fish I blew out my dang flip flop. My favorite flip flops. You just don't know what a bad day it is when your favorite flip flops give up the ghost. We had history man. A whole summer of fishing. Now I gotta break in a whole new pair.

Then on our way back to the harbor after dropping our guys off and cleaning their fish we passed by a public boat ramp. We were idling by way out in the middle of the river in a no wake zone. There were 3 boats of us one behind the other idling by. Some mouth breather on the bank starts yelling at the guy in front of me and launches a double drop rig with his surf rod which he can cast all the way across the river. He threw it at the boat in front of me, but went over the first boat and it went under my boat and I wrapped his braid up in my prop. So we had to cut all that mess out. The mouth breather took off before I could return his leader to him.

At least we caught fish.

Caught a good 3 pounder earlier this year on a square bill. As I reached for her she got all jiggy and drove a hook through my thumb. Right beside the nail. Got her unhooked, and released then cut my lure off the rod. Paddled back to shore and bent the barb down and pulled the hook out. Pretty weird feeling.

I was done for the day.

I have pics but no tapatalk to post them here
