Default Are gas prices about to go up?

After the drone attacks are prices going to keep rising or will they stay below $2.50 ish?

Give it a few weeks, it'll be a bit before they hit the pumps. I hope they don't go up but the price of oil has gone up 13% today.

Hey I would imagine more than a few ppl here on the GS could benefit from higher oil prices. I personally wouldnt mind $3/gallon if it meant $90/bbl.

( Except now I'm salaried so the overtime is donated! )

Depends how long Saudia Arabia is down. I would expect we see oil move to the $70 range.

Maybe a little, it’s also time to start switching over to winter blends which generally means a drop in price.

Don't they always say "winter blend" time to go up. Then in the spring "summer blend" time to go up.

It's complicated. Cash for clunkers almost killed my business.

$90.00 dollar oil does 2 things. It gives a lot of folks more money to spend at the parts counter, and it forces other folks to repair their cars instead of replacing them with new one's.
Been doing this for 30 plus years. It just is what it is...............

The lying news outlets are saying .10-.25 per gallon in the next few weeks. 70-75 per barrel would be the ideal price. Ever time it gets above that UPS,FEDEX and the grocery stores start adding fuel surcharges.

Yeah but the amount of money that people save by gas being $2.15 instead of $3 is really pretty insignificant compared to the amount of money that the others in the industry will make from the increase. People are rather short sighted on things like that. Most people have the tendency to pinch pennies on stuff that they need and spend exuberant amounts of money on things they dont need. "Hmmmm 8$ for charmin instead of $6 for Kroger brand...." "$57,650 is a good price for that truck!"....."$2.15/gal when its across the the street for $2.12????" "Yeah I pay $7,750/yr for my lease, but I killed a 195" buck last yr"

Who again is rather short sighted in this ^^^^?

You're saying the majority of Americans are short sighted because you think the increased amount of money they have to pay is "pretty insignificant" compared to the minority of people who stand to make higher profits.

Yep. Don’t understand the logic of that post.

Plus, if gas were to go up from what it is now (around $2 a gallon here) to $3(his example in the post), that’s around a 33% increase or a dollar a gallon. Is not wanting to pay an extra $20-26 a tank for gas being a penny pincher? If so, I guess I am a penny pincher and have no issue with that.

Y'all knew it was coming $$$ You shoulda saved your money while gas has been around the $2/gal for the last couple years.

People that work in the oil business gotta budget their money too! It's time to spread the wealth......somebody has to pay for these $70K trucks, deer leases, elk hunts and vacation properties !

How many American refineries run on Saudi Oil? I work for the largest U S refiner. We could make it just fine without a drop of Saudi Oil. I bet most others can also unless they are owned by Saudi's.
