Default Honestly, what's your price?

Since Robert Francis O'Rourke claimed "hell yes, we're coming to take your guns" sentiment, I've been asked by several people 'well, what if.' I know that's a dangerous game, but, what if?

What if a president signed an order for enforcement personnel to begin gun confiscation, specific to semi-automatic rifles? What if enforcement personnel showed up at YOUR doorstep and gave you the options:

voluntary submission, sell it to them, or they will take it by force

You willing to sell your gun to the government, in exchange for jail? If selling, what would be your price? Market value? 1k 5k 10k 100,000k?

Or would you fight? For how long? Until death?

This is a rapidly evolving world we live in..

People have become to comfortable. They would rather have a false feeling of safety than have and exhibit their Freedoms. Some of the responses in that thread really caught me by surprise. Really exposes how far we have fallen.

The general public are becoming deaf, dumb and blind sheep.

No reason to have this discussion until a constitutional amendment regarding the 2nd has come to completion if you are talking about federal forced buy backs / confiscation. Can't happen with current law & almost impossible to change due to the nature.

You'll get a $50 savings bond for your entire arsenal if you're lucky. Likely if they passed anything taking semi auoto's away you aren't getting anything for them.

Are criminals going to give up theirs? Will all LE give up theirs? I don't think so. It would also eliminate a lot of Olympic sports. And lots of other parts of the economy there by eliminating lots of jobs. Lots of politicians promise lots of things to get in office. Then find out it's a lot more difficult to fill those promises. So, I don't ever see it happening.

Even when full auto was banned, we're still allowed to own. Even cans and SBRs were banned. Just have to do some extra paper work and get approved. (And have the money to buy whats left of them autos )

I want to say that the only way I’d give up my rights is by death...but ya just don’t know till it happens. If others are fighting, I’ll fight. If I’m the only one, probably not. Luckily, all my guns were lost in a yachting accident.

Almost everyone has a limit that would make them stand up and fight. The problem is not everyone has the same limit. So these politicians don’t take big steps like that, they try to take little tiny baby steps crossing a few peoples lines at a time. Keeps the unrest to a minimum.

I don't trust no government that even considers disarming the people. Try that here in Oklahoma and see how that works out for you. I wouldn't want to drive a black and white vehicle during those times. Very few cop cars won't have a bullet hole in them. If you're an authority figure of any kind and you're given the orders to disarm people you best go out and spray paint a target on your squad car because from that point forward that's what you'll be.

Ask the Jews how being disarmed worked out for them. That ain't gonna be me or my family. Do what you want, ain't nobody putting me or nobody I know in a gas chamber or in a field working like a slave or none of that. I have guns,I ain't hurtin nobody. Mind your business.

There's plenty of other people that feel the same way. There's a man in Eastern Oklahoma right now that sat his neighbors trailer house on fire because they stole his truck. You want to go take his guns?.....Good luck.

Give up your 2nd amendment rights and you have given up your rights to all of the other amendments.

An argument used all the time by the left is that the 2nd amendment was created to protect the technology at that time in history. Well, at that time in history, I believe what they intended was to allow the people the right to overthrow a corrupt government. At the time, they had muskets. Now the government has tanks, fighter jets etc. I am sorry am maybe I am the crazy far right with this, but to keep the government in check, the people should be allowed to have the same tools the government uses. That, in my opinion, was the intention of the 2nd amendment.

The divide between LE would be very apparent & a problem of it's own...none of this door knocking would happen overnight so everyone will have plenty of time to evaluate their stance.

Sheriff dept's have already said no to red flags without due process. If a law clearly does not jive with the constitution, then it's really dealing with patriotism vs tyranny. I don't see it happening in my lifetime.

Still can't believe francis said it & will be fun watching his future quotes on the matter.

All mine were eaten during the great termite infestation of 2012.

Honestly, there going to have to do a lot of digging on a lot of ground to find those guns. May be a lot of fires at gun stores too. Shame all the paperwork burned. Real shame.

Well since their are no background checks according to the liberal nut job, how they going know who has them? Plus I don’t think you will find to many law enforcement willing to disarm you knowing there could be a fight. My guns are not for sale unless I choose to sell them to someone else not the government!

All these folks have lost their guns in boating accidents.

Not me.

I dare someone to try and take mine. Come on over. When you get to my property line you are in range. The Dobermans will alert me to you're presence.

Please send Beto first. Then send Pelosi, Feinstein, Schumer(him and his porky little neice) and The Squad.

Amazed that anyone who believes in freedom, not mentioning the 2nd amendment, would even CONSIDER selling ANY personal weapon to the government? I know a lot if not most of the responses are in a joking manner, but really, really?

A "fool like Beto" unfortunately has others supporting his stance, but again...his comments are JUST to get more attention paid to him that any reasonable person will just laugh at...unless you are a left wing IDIOT!

Not only would you see civilian resistance, a whole bunch of it would be from LE & military...they swore an oath & until they change the wording of the constitution?? It's all volunteer & patriots do not follow tyrants orders. I wouldn't be losing any sleep anyway.

Most of our LEO and military are 2a supporters, I find it hard to believe that they would come to our houses and demand our guns. I believe there would be a total collapse of our military/LEO if this happened. They have swore to protect against foreign and domestic, I think they will make the correct decision.

Standing alone when they come to confiscate your guns is a no winner deal for sure. Need's to be a citizen's defense force in place to check any gun grabbing.

The oath I swore was to defend against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. And if "my" government comes to take guns, then they have made themselves the enemy, and are no longer my government.

Beto knows not of what he speaks, and he is showing all the other candidates how to lose all support, including from the party, in an instant.

It will take my death for me to relinquish my possessions. And no, they are not at the bottom of a lake.

Sheriff dept's have already said no to red flags without due process. If a law clearly does not jive with the constitution, then it's really dealing with patriotism vs tyranny. I don't see it happening in my lifetime.

Still can't believe francis said it & will be fun watching his future quotes on the matter.
I agree. I don't think it will happen in my lifetime either but I don't guess anyone really knows. What I do know is the past tends to repeat itself. And I don't know of any instance in the past where weapons were ordered to be turned in or confiscated that turned out well for the people that weren't armed anymore. I don't want that to be us. That ain't gonna be me.

Every time this topic gets brought up all I can think about is that old picture of the Jewish man about to be shot in the head and thrown in a hole full of bodies. When people take your only means of protecting your life or the freedoms you have away from you,you do what they tell you to do. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I'm alive and free and I'll continue to be that way.
