Default How young is this deer?

Any guesses? I know itís not the best picture. He was so close to the camera and didnít get any good body pics. What do you think?

Not with those pics. Face and no hanging skin on the neck make me think young though.

I'd be more worried about the dude in the hat spying on your deer than age. Just above his left antler in the 2nd pic between the two skinny pines.

I hope he makes it to next year. Hopefully he sticks around til the season opens so I can have a chance of seeing him on the hoof. Wonder if heíll thicken up significantly come the rut?

Yea Iíve still never killed a deer with my bow so I donít wanna be too picky. I donít wanna kill babies either tho, ya know?

Bud, if he tickles your fancy then let an arrow fly! I'm one of those guys that feels if a deer walks out in front of you that sets you to shaking then send it. I've got a couple bucks on the wall and always try to improve on my last unless there is a significant story. The only caveat to that is if I am a guest on someone else's property.

Yea Iím thinking Iíll probably target one of the 8 points Iíve been seeing, and give this one another year. If I even see him next year. Lol itíd be cool to see what he turns into tho. I think this one will probably be my number one hit lister this season.
