Could you imagine trying to sit there looking cool with all that adrenaline pumping. Being too far from the gun probably saved him. I remember the first time I brought an elk into my sites and the adrenaline would not let me keep the pin in the same zip code. I can imagine trying to draw down on a large brown knowing there were only a couple of small spots to hit without becoming a bear burrito.
