That is what I was thinking based on his body and the jaw.

There is some hunting pressure on the place I hunt in Kansas, but not real heavy. With it being I one buck state young bucks tend to get to make it. There are some 5.5 yr old + running around due to bag limits

What he looks like on the hoof and history with him will tell you WAY more than a jaw will, all day, every day..

I really believe I saw him last year on the same trail just not broke. He traveled the same route as last year. With both sides i would know better. Last year he was a slick 8, just as wide and maybe a little wider. Head and face looks like last years buck

As far as any history with the deer there, I don't have a lot. Cameras only run about a month. It's a 40 acre tract and 1 of that is hay field/CRP. Some bedding in the cedar thickets and a ton of trails.
2 years of hunting it has given me more insight on patterns. I already know where stands will be placed next year on the travel routes and will hunt it just as much as next year.
I too let the youngsters walk and look for something mature

My first impression was 3.5 (and I still think this mostly), but he could be 4.5 also. I also agree with the above post that said a view from above would be better to look at.
