Players quit on their coaches every day, and it affects their job/money. Players wanted to be able to leave whenever they want, and they got it…they have no loyalty, they get no loyalty. This is not a difficult concept. Welcome to the real world.

Imagine being a coach trying to win a bowl game and some of your players “opt out”, you lose, and get canned…

Life changing educations, right… Stop profiling every student athlete as some kid out of the wrong side of tracks. The kids are out there playing for free. They’re not getting $100 million contracts so yes it is pretty unfair to them to be left high and dry for some coach to go make millions of dollars at some other place when you’re in the middle of a chance to be playing for a national championship. Players come and go Thats part of it but coaches are held to a higher standard that’s why they get paid millions of dollars. It’s not about being fair for coaches you’re getting outrageously compensated financially to handle that part.

Example. Let’s say A&M wasn’t 4-4 and that they were actually playing in the college football playoffs . Well low and behold, a week before the game, LSU came along and stole Jimbo away and he left immediately. You don’t think that’s messed up for A&M and the players so millionaire jimbo can go make more millions at LSU ??? Nobody is saying coaches can’t change jobs and get paid but doing it during the season so you can get a jump on mew early recruiting signing is bull****.

There is no such thing as being fair to one member of a team, but not the other. That’s the definition of unfair. If fair is what you want, then if the kids can quit anytime, so can the coach. The coaches salary has nothing to do with the conversation.

It might make him a sorry sob, but no sorrier than players “opting out”.

Again, no one said a coach cant take another job. Just not during mid season of a potential championship run. Not sure why yall are acting like that is devastating socialism. Everyone of you, especially the aggies , would be crying like little *** if that happened to your team. It's just so arbitrary and unnecessary. This is the football team of an educational institution, not a pro team.

Imagine if your senior son's HS team was second or third round of the playoffs and his coach just up and left. You'd be ******.
