Muzzleloader in Texas

I will be transferring to Texas from Indiana coming very soon.
My question is this. Will my caplocks be of any use for hunting down there? I know little about regulations for deer hunting down there.
I figured if a guy wanted he could use one during firearm season but again I don’t know.

National grasslands and some public hunting still use them.

I know a couple members do use them.

They’re legal for use during Texas’ November/December general season, and a lot of counties have a late muzzleloader season in January.

Up here we used them for years when we had the choice of them or a shotgun. Then we were allowed certain cartridges and now we use rifles up here.
