ABSURDITY. UTD cancelling classes.

My son goes to UTD in Dallas and he just told us that they cancelled all classes. The thing is, he's taking classes online as most classes are online due to the Chinese flu carp. The morons actually cancelled online classes. What a rip off. Anybody else having online classes cancelled?

Some of the teachers I know, teach at school and students are at home. These are younger kids though.

Wife's two on-campus classes for the week are cancelled up here and moved to online....Her online classes are business as usual. She's grading as we speak. The only classes I have heard being actually canceled are where enrollment dropped to next to nothing.

yup, covid has ruined snow days for the kids now too.

RISD sent ours home with their iPads on friday so they can do online school next week

The power companies are expecting broad power outages.

The universities can't require a prof to teach from home without providing the necessary support. So if the university doesn't want to pay for the profs internet they have to give them an option to teach online courses from their campus office. So if the profs can't drive to campus, then they can't require them to instruct.
