    Ruidoso spring break

Any suggestions for family with 10 and 12 year old?
This is my list so far:

    Ski Apache
    White Sands
    Some Billy the kid museums/history
    Smokey the bear
Maybe some national forest hiking, driving
Go see Inn of the Mountain Gods

    What else you got?

There is a tubing park right where you turn to go to Ski Apache that is fun.

          White sands was cool.
          Winter park tubing is fun
Several small lakes with stocked trout also.

One of our favorite things to do when we would take our kids at about that age was the drive between Ruidoso and Cloudcroft looking for elk on the reservation. We never made the drive that we didn't see at least some elk and usually saw large numbers and some monster bulls (we usually went at Christmas). There are some shops in Cloudcroft you can shop around in as well.

Looking for an amusement park in Ruidoso? Funtrackers offers outdoor activities and family fun, including mini golf, bumper cars, and more!

Not sure when they open, but my kids could go through money real fast here.

If y'all like hiking, Valley of Fires is super cool, I'm going back this weekend. There's some pictographs by the Rio Bonito in between Alto and the airport. And I've just recently heard about some ruins of missions and pueblos called the Gran Quivira. I just recently moved to Capitan, so let me know if you need anything.

There is a Ski Apache ski shop in town now and you can get skis and lift tickets there so you do not have to wait in line on mountain. The mountain got some snow yesterday so hopefully skiing will be good since it had been a little hot.

Try Tinas Cafe and Lincoln county grill for breakfast.

Tube park is a good time as well especially if kiddos are younger.

Most of all good place to relax!

Take a frame pack and binoculars and hunt for elk sheds. Look for points on the ground while out looking for sheds.

Do yall think going to Ft Stanton is worth the trip?
Also looking at the NM museaum of space history, wondering if that would be worth it?
