1. How many fights have you been in? Talking real fights.

A lot.

2. How many of them did you win?

All but a couple.

3. How many did you start?

Depends on what you mean by "start". I never picked a fight but I always tried to hit him before he hit me so I always threw the first punch.

Can't tell you how many times I broke a metacarpal bone in my hands.

What can I tell you lol. The 70's were rough.

Coming out of a bar in Dallas with some friends this random guy grabbed a girl in our group's booty and a big fight broke out with our group and their group. These guys were wiping the floor with us and then Dallas PD showed up and started shooting us with rubber bullets and then hit us with tear gas to break it all up. It was chaos and ended up on the news. Looking back now its pretty funny because I think fighting is just about the dumbest thing ever but that fight just kinda happened in a second and then to get blasted by rubber bullets and tear gas was just icing on the cake.

I've won a lot of them.....started all of them....and only pulled the hook on a few of them, allowing them to swim away. Gonna start a bunch of fights in about 3 weeks - COME ON NOVEMBER 7TH!

A few. Never really kept track. None in the last 20 years.
Won most lost some.
Worst azz whippin I ever took was from a BIG Black girl named Stephanie Chizer. She out weighed me by at least a Benjamin and hit like a grown man.. I whipped her male cousin so she got mad a smashed me BUT I didn't hit her back.. I was taught to never hit a woman.. We were great friends after that. Havent seen her in years.. I hope she's doing well..

As far as street fights go 3.

I won 2 of them and lost one and didn't start any. The one I lost is because the guy slipped brass knuckles on his hand while I was taking my shirt off to fight.
We are still friends to this day.

1. How many fights have you been in? Talking real fights.

Only 3 "street fights" (2 in school and one 3 on 3 fight with some wana-be gang bangers at a party when I was about 18. They learned a hard life lesson from 3 country boys that night lol). Dozens if I count MMA/Muay Thai in my late 20's and early 30's

2. How many of them did you win?

All 3 street fights... got schooled a few times in the cage sparring/training with pro's & some super talented young amateurs. Once I got hit so hard by a heavy weight guy with 4oz that I couldn't hardly chew food for a week.

3. How many did you start? Only one and I shouldn't have started it. We became friends afterwards

ive been in a bunch of flights. missed one once, and lost luggage twice. flying in or out of knoxville tn is a near certainty of one or the other. i dont fly american anymore. they have terrible customer service, and the brand name "ted" makes me think of ted turner. its kinda creepy.

My Dad gave me advise as a teen

Billy, some things are worth fighting and risking dying for

Some are worth fighting about

Most are not. Let him insult you, spit at you and you be the smarter, better man and walk away.

However son if you can not

- never strike with an empty hand
- hit first, and
- hit hard enough to kill him

Thatís why you walk away

My share, most as grade school and high school, a few growing into manhood. A few more as a grown man. Last one i was 45. Grabbed a tape and bed guy and tossed across the room. He crashed into the corner and I pounced on him before he hit the floor. Had another issue with the same guy. Cost me a weeks pay. And left a bitter taste for how my employer handled the two incidents. That was the last time, I have a hard time walking away after i get to that point.

The LAST fight I had was in High School, before most of you were born...graduated 71...so yeah, old fart!!

Like you Pullersboy, those "scrapes" as an LEO were a totally different circumstance as I'm assuming your statement/meaning?

Times have changed...if someone is looking for a fight, does not think about Testosterone vs common sense...these are dangerous times folks! At least for most of us from my generation, "fists" settled most fights but now...blades or gun powder seem to be the norm?

"Walk away if you can, but if not...Stand UP and do what you have to do to protect your family, yourself AND those who can't protect themselves." I still live with this every day of my life...until, perhaps I lose that last fight!!

won a few lost a few in high school

only one in college..he went to the hospital and I didn't go to jail so I guess I won.

as a LEO I was in several, including two gun fights. All of them went to jail or the hospital and I still didn't go to jail , so I guess I won all of them.

One time we had prolly 20 officers from several agencies working a bunch of bad dog hunters in Lamar Co Al. I was plainclothes and roadblocked one of the fellas we were looking for, bad dude that had been in prison twice. I got out of the car and he was hollering on the CB radio for more help as he threatened me. After my partner ran off the help I told him to get out of the truck. He wouldn't so I grabbed him and drug him out the window and stomped a mud hole in that gravel road with him. Then cuffed him and took him to jail. I was pretty full of myself back then, bullet proof and all that. Lucky I didn't get killed or hurt bad.

I'm 67 now and I'd just shoot ya...

I am not a tough guy. At 64 you shoot first - fight second.

Probably a hundred.

I have a twin brother and from 3 on we fought. We would have all day fights and fight till both of us were on the ground. My mom called the cops numerous times after we broke 13 because she was sure one of us was going to kill the other. Every time the responding cops laughed and told mom this was normal boy stuff. Well it was 1967.

After that 9 months of Golden Gloves
After that 9 months of Wrestling
After that 3 different karate schools in 3 years.
Broken nose 3 times.

Twin never had a bad word to say to me for the rest of our lives.....

Have not hit or been hit in the face for 40 years.

Outside of young boy scuffles, only a couple.
One of which was a big brawl that got started on the square in San Marcos. A car ran through a red light(slowly) and hit me. I punched the hood and a pile of guys came out swinging thinking they would jump me. A bunch of my buddies who were just up the street came running back and whooped the tar out of those guys. The funniest part was the girls with us that were getting in on the action.

I was quite the scrapper in my younger years.
I feel embarrassed when I think about it now.
Happy to say I've matured a lot since then.
Only been in two fights since I turned 30
and I have a clear conscience on those two.
They had it coming for sure.

For fun (even though some of y'all might call them real) where we wasn't really trying to kill or maim each other .. probably a thousand...sometimes 2 or 3 a night in my late teens to early 30's

For real; where the goal was to maim or kill, more than I should have....

I'm alive and never spent a night in a hospital because of a fight

At 69 I haven't fought in probably 20 years.. even if you win, it hurts too much

I was a special education student with a learning disability and had to wear thick glasses in the 70s. Yes I learned to take a punch and got beat up a lot but they only wanted a peace of me once. lol My dad was always proud of me even when I lost. He told all his boys to never back down and stand your ground. Now at 61 I don't think I will follow that advice any longer. lol

Maybe the winners became bow hunters and the losers joined PETA? Just a wild guess. No one here, including their kids has ever lost a fight!

Oh... I've lost several, just not ones that counted...

I had a little fellow (probably weighed 125 pounds) beat the living crap out of me cause I couldn't catch him... When it was nearly over I was laughing so hard at him it just made him madder...

I was cut and bruised from head to toe and he didn't have a mark on him... I finally caught him by the hair and slapped him until he quit.. glad I did the little sucker was wearing me down...

Mine usually last 2 hits. I hit them and then they hit the ground. The navy seal I fought at a bar in Salt Lake one time gave me a run for his money. Afterwords he shook my hand and said I was "the toughest dude he ever fought" and then he bought me drinks. We are still friends to this day.

I had a 14 year old girl high on “wet” that weighed about 80 pounds put me in ETMC overnight. I couldn’t grab hold of her and she could eat an overhand right better than any full grown man I’ve dealt with. We both went to hospital but I spent the night she got washed up and discharged.
