I have a Sarrells longbow. 58" bow. I need a new string, I measured the string and its 56 1/2". Its a pretty old string. What length should I get the new string?

If you are getting a string that is prestretched by the string maker, get one that is the same length as the one you are replacing. Just tell the string maker that what you are ordering is off the actual length of the string you are replacing.

Bows are like trucks. When the tires are worn out, it's time to trade them in.
