What the heck is up with Zach Evans? Rumor had it he is already enrolled at A&M, yet he posted a picture on his IG in LSU gear and is currently at Ole Miss for an official visit?

I’m guessing that rumor wasn’t true.

Nobody knows with this kid, hell he doesn't know himself. We moved on from what I can tell. It's apparent he doesn't want to be an Aggie. Closing in on a different RB (Hubbard) now. We can't screw this up as RB is a position of need right now with some recent turnover at the position.

Pelini is a hot head. Saban gets away with that stuff because of his track record. Pelini might wet his pants.

You evidently have not seen many head coaches away from the camera. They can all be asses. Bo is a little over the top at times. But, at least he is not the smiling clapper type like Jason Garrett.

No, all that tells me is what this team is capable of. If they can't match that intensity of the Utah game with a new DC whose fault is that? I would place the blame on TH. Produce or adios. This team is a Big 12 championship calibur team so Herman needs to step up.

Your new guy is just exceptionally angry, like he is really good at it.

At the end of the day if his defense performs nobody will care and it will just be entertaining.

As an Aggie, an angry coach with a sub-par defense at LSU would be okay with me also

It will be very interesting to see if Baylor can develop an SEC level defense under their new coach.

Baylor's defense was pretty salty last year. If they regress that will mean Big 12 coaches are better, right?

After two subpar seasons (8-5, 7-6) I'm hoping 2020 will be the year my OSU Cowboys return to relevance in the Big 12. Two of our best players flirted with the NFL draft but are coming back - Tylan Wallace was leading the nation in receiving until he got hurt, and Chuba Hubbard - who rushed for 2,000 last season - just announced he is coming back. Hopefully after full year of starts Spencer Sanders will start showing what he is capable of at QB. I think we also may finally have a defense that will not require the offense to score 40 to give us a chance.

Coach Ed Orgeron was on ESPN Radio’s Off the Bench program yesterday and spoke about the search for a new defensive coordinator. “There’s been a phenomenal response,” he said. “We have a big selection of defensive coordinators. We’re going through the list right now. Obviously, it’s going to be ’bring the best to LSU,’ No. 1, and No. 2, ‘Be a great fit with our culture.’ There’s a lot of guys that want to be here and we’re looking at some great guys… It’s going to be a process.”

quote:

Asked specifically about Bo Pelini as a candidate, Orgeron said: “Obviously, there are a lot of guys that will be top candidates. I don’t want to say nothing yet until we finalize any deal with anybody. Obviously, Bo is somebody that I know very well and have high respect for. He’s a great defensive coordinator. He did a great job at LSU.”

It has been for a few years.

High 4 star WR crystal balled to Texas. The Arkansas guys say they are giving up. He is a Texas lock pretty much. They're making a late push on a 4 star RB as well.

And they’ll land Collins, likely Princely, to go along with Dixon as well.

For those that contend that only Joe Tess and an exuberant sophomore QB have ever declared “Texas is Back” (which, btw, I heard over and over on the National preseason XM sports talk shows on my long drives to and from Colorado in August), I found the last paragraph of this kind of funny.

Lol, someone has to say it.

Another interesting stat. Only 3 teams have won 8 or more games the last 12 years.

Two of which, LSU and OU.

LSU and OU have done it for 20 years. During that same 20 years, Texas has 15 seasons with 8 or more and the Ags are batting .500.

For the sake of fairness in the same article, there’s this about the Ags. Not a good stat for the senior QB or play caller.

BTW, a lot of people said it making fun of Texas. The only ones on here that said it were doing just that.

So..."sportswriters"?

Not Herman, no one at Texas outside of S.E. post Sugar bowl win, no one in Austin, no one here....but sportswriters. That's what keeps aggy up at night, and perpetuating this stupid tagline? The opinions of national sportswriters who get payed to create stories where there aren't any. C'mon man.

Believing it and saying it out loud are two different things. We all WANTED to believe it after the Sugar Bowl but, I don't recall any Longhorn fans on this sight saying it. Personally, I am even more skeptical than before. The 2019 season has a way of doing that to a person.
