I had a presentation to make this morning at 0800 and had to be outta the gym by 0730 to go set up so I got up a little earlier (0400) and made it to the gym by 0515. I had enough time to get some chest and biceps done. I didn't get as much as I would like, but at least I won't be sore as heck. Supersets with abs in the mix.

Bench press/BB curl/incline situp
Seated wide grip chest press/preacher curl/cable rotation
Incline bilateral chest press/incline DB curl/hanging leg raise

Tomorrow will be a game day decision. My wife does a crossfit routine with a group on M-W-F and the box will be a little crowded. I was thinking some battling ropes work, burpees, ball slams and other "fun" stuff. We shall see what happens.

Chicken and veggies as well for me, then headed to the gym after lunch! Late night with the baby made morning motivation a little difficult!

Another day down. Mental toughness is about to be tested. Sugar withdrawals ain’t no beech apparently lol. This afternoon into tonight was tough. Dinner sucked and I’m hungry still. Or I think I am. Just craving something sweet.

Did another 22minute 1.58 mile run/walk soon as I got home. Avg heart rate was 168. Legs and thighs are sore as heck. Jumped on the scale for fun after a shower and was down 4lbs. Probably just fluids but I’ll take it.

I’ve started running 1.6 mile & a cool down brisk walk of 0.4 mile each morning for 5 days/week. Dieting well too with more heart healthy packed foods like tuna, salmon, fruits, whole grains, avocados & drinking pomegranate juice with oatmeal each morning. I also take ubiquinol to help offset any muscle aches as I’m on a statin for marginal/high LDL. Overall eating less with minimal refined sugars.
I’ve been doing this for about a month & went from 195 & down to about 183-184.

I'll jump in on this. I was in the 2019 thread and hit a stride after starting working out again but, injured my shoulder/collarbone doing deadlifts. Hurt like hell but of course I didn't go to the dr. Took some time off but have been working to get my diet right (Keto/IF) and have started running and cycling again. Will introduce sandbag workouts soon as well.

I'm not sure if it's realistic or not but I've set my personal goals at running 1,000 miles and riding 2,000 miles this calendar year.

Goal weight is 185-190. Started at 238.8 on the 1st and down to 232.8 this morning.

1000 miles! That is a hellova goal!
I barely hit my 600 mile goal (50 miles/month) last year and set that for myself again this year.
Running during the summer sucks and I had a difficult time fitting in my runs during deer season.

Anyone on here use Strava to track and share ?

lol. Yeah, that was sort of what my wife said. My thought process is itís a big enough number thatíll itíll force me to stay active to meet the goal, no time to be lazy and make up miles later.

Yeah, Iím on Strava, Chris Jeans. Garmin Connect as well.

Still at it without missing anything but planned days off. Today was chest, biceps, calves, cardio and stretching, about 2.25 hrs total. Ive been doing the IF and Keto thing for about 2 weeks. Im down 6 lbs, hoping to be down at least 15 lbs by the end of the month. I doubt I'll make it but if not it wont be because I didnt follow the plan. One thing about Keto is the amount of fat eaten does make you feel really full especially when you are trying to cram your calories into a 5-6 hr window. So far most days Im at around 1200 calories but my normal goal is 2000-2300. One of the days I made myself eat the amount of fat required to get to my calories and I felt miserable all afternoon and evening. I woke up feeling better but vowed not to do that again.

I got home late last night which means getting to bed late and I let the snooze go off three times this morning. I finally drug myself outta bed before momma talked me into staying. Got to the gym a little late, but still got a fairly good one in. Trying to keep it light this week and higher reps so I'm not too sore after missing most of the last two weeks. Hunting season always puts a big dent in my routine. Anywho, today was shoulder and leg supersets with abs. I had to dispense with the cardio intervals today due to times constraints.

Treadmill and bicycle warm up followed by 3 warmup sets of lateral raises/leg extensions.

Military press/prone leg curl/incline situp
Bilateral shoulder press/hack squat/hanging leg raises
Rear delt cable fly/deadlift/ab roller

Back and triceps on the menu for tomorrow. I'll miss all next week due to working the Hill Country Youth Livestock Show, but there are maybe 2 days I can get it done. We shall see.

Low impact last week to nurse my knees along. Had a great 2000yd swim Friday and Saturday was my long ride. Short run, squats and core yesterday. Repeat this week and hopefully my knees will be ready to put in some volume.

I don't do New Year resolutions.

So, it's the 13th and in a few days it's be my 64th BDay so here goes.

I've been riding my bikes (road and mountain) starting the end of January 2019 and have been keeping it up. Going to buy a new mountain bike this week and hope to double my mileage from last year.

Need to drop about 15 pounds from my gut and work on stretching and upper body strength. No specific goal, just get stronger and leaner in the guttal area. Round is not the shape I want to go out in...

Made it in the past two mornings. Goal is to keep getting up early and working out with my 18 yoa senior who has an offer to play tight end for Wayland Baptist University. Trying to get him motivated is like pulling teeth. Wish me luck! I am fifty and I have more drive than he does and that’s not saying much!

Yesterday was back and triceps with some cardio and stretching. Legs, abs, cardio and stretching today. Im going to start an old cardio plan I have in a few weeks. Im waiting until after my last extended hunt of the year so I can do it uninterrupted. I shouldnt be out of town for anymore than a couple days at a time for the next several months.

Committed myself to run the Cowtown Half marathon March 1. Been running shorter distances but it's time to step up and get ready. Also need to lose about 15+ lbs so that's part of the goal. Rock on gentlemen and ladies.

And those of you reading this and thinking about working out...get up and make yourself do it. You know you need to do something.

1500 in the pool this morning, then 20 mins HIIT on a stationary bike.
