Those are some monster trout. I went a couple weeks ago to Rockport and had a little success with the reds. Need to get me a trophy trout soon. Also met a young guide for both duck and fish and he was incredible. Let me know if you need his contact.

Lmao!!

I say big bank hank cause he bought a whopping one dam pack with 6 baits in it that took 2 months to get. Came from a company out of Florida and the baits are Chinese. For all that he should have ordered a case!

It's a modified stick bait. I add a lot of hardener and use a Senko mold. Then I cut it down shorter. It's like a Lil'John.

Put a chartreuse tail instead of red on that second one and you’ll have a good un.

My dad and I are heading down to either Port Aransas or port O’Connor the end of this month. This will be our first attempt at bay fishing and we’re gonna be targeting reds and trout. Not sure what to expect but we’re gonna give it a shot. Anyone wanting to give some north Texas guys a few pointers will be appreciated.

Question: After this next weather system next week, I got to get down to the coast for some R&R. I spend a lot of time on the West in in G-Town but the Palacious area intrigues me. I'm thinking of getting a house rigged up with lights right on the bay. Do the trout come in good to the lights this time of year? I've never fished the lights during the winter time.

I catch fish all year under the lights but winter (now) is the best time. They're bigger this time of year. Good luck.

Default 2020 Saltwater Fishing Thread

I’ve caught some nice trout in Palacios in the winter time. I grew up close to there and spent many a night fishing the lighted piers down there. The only bad thing is if the south wind is pumping it gets nasty.
