Talk to my wife about it. If the bad day has something to do with her then talk to one of my oldest friends. Lift weights. Shoot my bow. Thank God for all of the good days and for the strength to get through the bad ones. I'm blessed that even my bad days are better than some folks good days.

Staying active - usually involves some basketball or beating up a punching bag. Worst thing for me is just sitting and thinking.

head to the house and listen to the delightful sounds of my woman screaming at my heathen children...after this makes things worse, i typically have a drink and pass out praying for tomorrow to not be as bad

A gummy, 2-3 beers, and a nice cigar.

I go have lunch/coffee/beer with one of my "crew". Got a network of awesome christian guys that will listen, encourage, challenge, pray (or whatever else I truly need) whenever I need to get through a tough situation. I can be real and honest with them and not worry about them judging me. Relationship goes both ways and our friendships and trust have grown over the years.

After many years of trying the barstool route or fighting through situations myself, I seriously couldn't image doing it any other way now. This group has helped each other through divorce, financial failures, family deaths, etc. and all though the situations still sucked, I know these guys will be there for me.

If you don't have these types of people in your life, I would strongly recommend you search them out. I always go back to Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another". An analogy a lot of hunters should be able to relate to.

All right, I'll get off the pulpit and let everyone carry on.... Hope and pray your day gets better.

I grab a beer, go out in the backyard, sit down on a concrete block and talk to my mother and father.

About two or three times a year I'll take a couple vacation days for myself and build something or go to the woods or I'll go swimming in forty Creek. Seems to help.

I'm actually on my second mental health day today. Building rabbit cages.

Say a prayer to God, say and repeat the Serenity prayer and then take my daily inventory.

I have a little bottle of sand that I brought back from Normandy. I only have to take a quick look at that and remember I am not having a bad day. Those guys were having a bad day.

Depending on what caused the bad day, physical activity can be very cathartic for me. I bought a sledgehammer and a splitting wedge, Iíve got some live oaks that have been standing dead for about ten years, those logs donít want to split for nothing, I gave up on wooden tool handles after the third one broke. Hammer in my hands, some Skillet, Three Days Grace, and Disturbed in my ears, I always end up with some prime BBQ wood and a better perspective on the day.

I manage a med school morgue, I just walk into the place and thank God i'm still here above ground. I think of them and their families and know my day can't be worse than theirs. Everybody is dying to see me, a little funeral director humor for ya.

I used to drink it away but then you wake up with a headache and remember the day before, now it's put in the earphones crank up some Metallica and lay some copper to steel. Usually after 100 rounds you start to smile, the about 200 I get happy. Or I'll head to the ranch and get on the dozer and start digging a tank or fixing roads.

People say I am weird for this but I go for a good run. Usually the things I am mad about is beyond my control to a certain extent and in running you are only fighting against yourself which is calming to me.
