Lots of good advice above that I don't need to repeat, and agree with. My tip: Once you're happy with the way everything shoots, take pictures and measurements of EVERYTHING. It is invaluable and keeps you from second guessing things when you just plain have a bad day shooting. A few I keep handy:

    Axle to Axle measurement
Brace height (for my own records is just do back of riser to string)
Peep to top of DLoop measurement
    Peep to Top Cam measurement
    Nock point
Middle of shaft in rest to riser (horizontal rest position)
lllland if even more OCD (I am) tiller of the top and bottom limbs

This lets you come back 3 months later and get warm fuzzies by re-checking all of it. It is also handy to get the measurements you need to have cut charts/sight tapes generated by software. This usually includes measuring from peep to sight pin at full draw, and from center of peep to middle of shaft at full draw.

I second guess everything all the time, and keeping records has prevented me from fiddling with my rig, when I should be questioning what broke down in my form.
