My daughter is taking Texas History this year as a 7th grader. So this Spring Break we will be doing the Battle for Texas tour/museum.

Iknow I read this last year. There's been similar posted every year, but in rereading I saw the letter from Travis to Jessie Grimes. Jessie Grimes was my Grandmothers GGranddad that signed the Texas Declaration of Independence and went on to fight with Sam Houston at San Jacinto.

That is history you can be proud of.

I took my kids on a Texas history tour a few years ago...San Jacinto, Goliad, Alamo, etc.. and they still talk about!!

The Alamo is cool but my favorite was going to Goliad!!
