    Alfalfa Pellets???

Anyone tried mixing alfalfa pellets in with your corn in a regular spin corn feeder? We can’t feed regular alfalfa due to cows and a retarded landowner that won’t let us use feed pens. Saw this and thought maybe we could just mix it with corn to hold the axis on our place better.

Just curious, why won't the landowner let you build a feeder pen?

He is afraid his cows will get hurt. 😂 that’s his excuse anyway.

They work for sure. Very strong smelling just like actually afalfa. We used to mix em with our Protein.

Cattle will hurt themselves on the alfalfa pellets. Cows need long fiber for the rumen to operate and the short fibers of the alfalfa pellet can and will cause bloat.

Maybe I should use these...then the cows or 1 bull I should say, will stop tearing my pen up!!

I wonder if they will clog a spin feeder?

Not the best picture but this is bloat from alfalfa pellets. You can see the distension pretty easy. I’d want feed pens if I was your land owner.

And Op the cows will still be all over your feeder if you feed the alfalfa pellets.

I’ve been wondering about these too. Does it help bring deer in? What is the advantage?

High in protein but the last time I used them in a free choice feeder, the deer didn’t touch them.
Doubt you would have to worry about bloat in your spin cast feeder. Wouldn’t think it would put enough on ground to affect the cow, but I could be wrong.

Have you told the landowner that he’s retarded? How’d that retarded ******* wind up owning a ranch? Is it better being a retarded landowner or a lease? Inquiring minds want to know.
