Got a lead on a lease around lake Somerville, specifically birch creek park. Anyone hunt around there or know about what size deer they grow out that way? Thanks!

I have never hunted there but I know some guys that have and there are some pretty decent deer in that area.

If you’re close to birch creek you will have lots of deer and hogs too.

The WMA at Nails Creek used to have some nice deer. Got over run by people trying to still hunt and just walking around. I haven’t hunted there in around 10 years.

Birch creek park has subdivisions that allows no hunting. If ur close to the park there will be plenty deer bordering the subdivisions within. A couple miles will be good and some pretty nice bucks too

One of the nicest bucks I have ever seen was on the north side and west end of lake Somerville.

got 100s of old ladies shaking corn filled coffee cans at em...those deer dont stray far from the subdivisions....lol...like puppies they are!

You would need to use a spear to make is sporting at all.
