    muzzle brake for 308?

What do you guys recommend ?

I bought a Precision armament m4-72 for a 308. I installed it on a Sig 716. Loaded 4 rounds in a mag and shot it. First 3 rounds knocked my hat off and the concussion was so bad I felt like I had been hit by a 500 lb calf. Needless to say that thing is coming off tonight. I ask the dealer about the way the cuts were angled backward and he said the gas would form a "V" and with me in the center, so very little gas or concussion would get to you. Boy was he wrong...One good thing the recoil was about like a 556.

So I am on a hunt for something that will work...don't mind the noise, want less recoil but I don't want to be in the middle of a tornado either.

Precision Armament M11. That’s what I run. Does not angle back. Works great.

APA lil ba stard or AREA 419 Hell Fire or Sidewinder.

All of them are loud. The lil bas tard I run on my 6.5cm, and I have never felt any gas back from it except when I let a friend shoot it and I was standing to the side.

For a brake that doesn’t have to be timed and turned on a lathe, I’d go with a lil ******* or the area 419.

I'm pretty happy with the Area 419 Hellfire.
Super easy to install with it being self timing.
