Need elderly assist step-up for truck running running board/ siderail...

Caregiving for pops who needs an additional step ABOVE the siderail step.
Appreciate any thoughts, curious as to what you have experience with..

I’ve never owned a pair but have been in and out of a few trucks that have the auto steps. They seem to drop lower than the standard tube type steps. I’m not sure on the difference but might be worth looking into.

I have a small 2 step stool that has a handle for my 90 year old mom to get in and out of my truck. I keep it in the bed and it's always there if I need to take her somewhere.

I have a 2020 Ram 3500 not exactly low to the ground, I put Tough Country Deluxe Steps on it for the same reason. My Dad is 99 and he can climb in the truck.
The tough country steps are large and they are a little lower
