It doesn’t get any closer than this!

Seekins Havak with a NF NX8 2.5-20x50 with Seekins .92 rings. That’s as close as it’ll get without touching right there. It’s not set exactly where I want it yet, so still a bit more tweaking. It’ll clear though.

Looks like a I/4" to me, I wouldn't sweat it.

Look at the ocular. It’s barely a paper width. The scope needs to come back about an 1/8th or slightly more, but not enough for the ocular you clear the rail with shorter rings.

Man that is tight I wouldn’t run it that tight you get a stray dog hair in there and it would probably stick

          That would be an RCH

Not enough eye relief if you moved the whole thing back an inch and went with lower rings?

Scope looks too far forward. Is eye relief right for you?

Take the scope off and run that back part of the base across the table Triner for a while. That’ll get you some clearance

I'd be doing this to remove a few thousandths

I moved it back enough to clear the rail and it was too far back. I need it move it back less than 1/4”, but it won’t be enough to clear.

I moved it back where it fits me, and still not enough to clear any shorter rings. This rifle isn’t it’s forever home either. I normally run an ATACR 4-16x42 on this rifle, and this NX8 belongs to a 22 Creedmoor that I’m waiting for the stock. It’s sporting a MTU profile carbon barrel, and I doubt any shorter rings would work with the barrel if if I could clear the rail.

I agree with Blake, mill the rail. Easy fix.

Why would I mill it? It’s not making contact, and it fits where I want it. No fix is needed.
