    Buck running a doe

Sitting here in Bulverde watching the deer eat corn out the back window. Have an 8 point running a young doe back and forth across the yard. His head down in classic rut form and pushing her hard. All the other does and bucks are focused on the corn we put out, but he has no interest in anything but her. Wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. The cold must have him messed up.

Not unusual, hard antlered buck, early season fawn comes into heat and the chase is on.

I watched 2 bucks fight amongst a field of does on Monday.

the angle of the dangle is proportionate to the heat of the meat
