After battling Alzheimer's for 7 or 8 years my mom got pneumonia and while in the hospital was diagnosed with diabetes and COPD. She was released to a skilled nursing facility and subsequently her care was being turned over to hospice. Yesterday evening the the Lord called her home.
She turned 89 on February 19, 2020, and she and my dad would have been married 70 years on March 25, 2020.
Dad is 94 and heartbroken and I know he will miss her terribly. I am thankful for loving Godly parents that made sure my brother sister and I came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at an early age.
I will miss my mom but I am thankful to know she is now free from her ailments and is in the presence of our savior today.
Please keep my dad in your prayers as I know this will be a tough time for him.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
