1st, if you can't cut the brisket with a fork it ain't worth a dam. Same with chicken fried steak so here are 2 of the best and we've ate at a lot of BBQ joints and several of those mentioned before:
1. Hammonds in Glen Rose
2. Loco Coyote off 67 between Glen Rose and Stephenville
Not asked for but absolutely the best, most tender Chicken Fried Steak in Texas and not many have ever heard about it:
Pure Country about 3 miles north of Granbury off Hwy 51. Little hole in the wall café that makes the dangest breakfast as well. Mom & Pop café!
