Does the pan have drain holes?
Did much manure and **** get in the pan when cattle were fed from it? I have no experience using feeders with pans, that’s why I’m asking. |

You can smell the ones that don't have drain holes!! At least very shortly after it rains with any feed at all in there!

I fill 10 of that type feeders every week. It is for exotics and not cows though. They eat every bit of the hay, and I’ve never experienced any manure or **** or bad smells with these feeders. We have ASF hay feeders. I’m not sure about drip holes, as I’ve never looked to see if there are any. The ASF feeders have lids. We have one hay feeder without a top like the one in your pic, but it is old and has some holes rusted they the pan.
