Help!-Dove/Quail eating all the corn being thrown

We literally are having the dove and quail eat all the corn before the deer can get to it. The obvious is to shoot them but all the gunfire will surely scare hell out of the area of our best feeders. The deer are realizing it also. Any of you have this problem and what did you do?

BB gun for quail supper! We have the same issue. We just feed more. Sunday I had a flock of 14 Eurasian Dove come in and it sounded like a helicopter was landing. They wore it out till a hawk flew by.

Evenings are especially bad. If I have it set too early, dove and quail get most of it. Set a second spin closer to dark when most have left for water.

I've had 20+ dove around the feeder at times, and I'll be honest and say I've thought several times that a few well placed shots could end up with a near limit of dove if it was legal lol

Saw a post yesterday about a guy mixing bird seed with his corn. Maybe it will put the birds on the seed rather than the corn. Bird seed is cheap. Would be worth a shot!

Anyone have a good supplier of these so called quail relocation devices?
