Perfect for chasing pheasants! Had a great hunt over dogs this morning. This afternoon we’re doing a “European” shoot

Hoping the weather holds for the next 2 weeks. We are going to be up there for opening weekend for pheasants. But I’m sure it’ll warm up and be windy as all get out. Never fails!!!

Man a wild bird pheasant hunt over some good dogs is WAY up there on my bucket list, but I'll be danged if I'd be in kansas on Halloween and not be chasing a loggerheaded giant.

We are at Flint Oak Hunt Club they have 5,000 acres near Fall River. A friend of mine who is a member invited us. Pen raised birds but they held for the dogs, flushed and flew great. In the European shoot you rotate between 6 stands and wait for them to come zooming over- fun and challenging.

Retrievers ready to go to work

Waiting for them to come rocketing through that gap above the trees

Six of us killed about 70 birds. (Yes this part is a pheasant shoot, not a “hunt “) We will do another field hunt over pointers in the morning
