    Replacing feeder motor

Ok, so I found out that the motor isn't spinning anymore on my 12v feeder. Unfortunately, I found this out AFTER filling with 5 bags of corn. How do y'all change the motor without all the corn spilling out the bottom of the feeder?

Easy! Get some good quality duck tape, slide it between the spinner and the spout and tape it up! You'll get corn on the tape so a second piece won't hurt, but I've done this a couple times.

Duct tape or wad a piece of feed sack up and jam it in the bottom of the funnel.

I usually just stuff a rag up the hole.

So simple. Don't know why I didn't think of that!

Trust me I sat around for about 5 minutes pondering it myself and thought to myself " you big dummy just tape the thing off!!!"

Yup, a red shop rag stuck up the feed spout works wonders.

I stuck a plastic coke bottle in mine while I repaired and replaced. Have used duct tape before. Redneck engineering 101, what ever works.

Gorilla duct tape is the best for this. I did one this summer 350# of corn and two pc's of tape held up till I finished.
