What to do with a porcupine?

Shot a porcupine this morning. Don’t want to mount it but do not want to throw it away.
Can you tan there hide like a pelt or utilize them in some way?

I have a friend who has one mounted. It is a very cool and unique mount. Let me see if I can get a pic.

Eat it if you want to. I've heard it's not bad. Other than that I don't know what else to do besides let the coyotes have it.

If you didn’t want to eat it or get it mounted then why did you kill it?
