Default France Climate Tax

I haven't heard much or anything about this here. Apparently the protest were a pretty big deal and were successful in Macron abandoning the climate tax?

Because he has to seem to adhere to the Paris Accord! 25% increase for fuel that pushes it to nearly 7$ a gallon! The people should, and are, burning it down and embrace socialism like their new president is practicing and holds so dear.

FYI the proposal wasn't a 25% increase; it was $0.24 per gallon on diesel, and $0.12 per gallon on gas. But yeah, it's already crazy expensive for gas in France.

Not to be outdone by Chicago which just added playing PlayStation and Xbox to the Amusement Tax last week. I think the fine citizens of Chicago could learn a thing or two from France's recent riots.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Protesters in France were not protesting in support of more capitalist ideas or taxes. They just don’t like the petrol tax because it taxes the masses. Instead they want a tax on the wealthy
