Is this a joke?

was it just north of the Byron Nelson high school. About 1 mile in? Was the back left leg eaten? If so the game warden already has the head.

Figured it was. Like I said the warden already has the head.

It was a decent buck too. See the pics I posted yesterday.

I called them when I found it hoping they'd let me take the head. Warden Miller met me and I walked her in. She didn't feel she could determine what killed it due to condition. Took the head just in case it was poached. I was hoping if I put the effort into cutting the head off and carrying it out they give it to me but, nope she took it with her.

Had to head south, but might pop something down there if I have time. Deer didn't move until around 6:30 last night in my neighborhood, not sure why they are nocturnal already.

Yes...surprisingly it has been fairly accurate in my opinion. I don't base all my decisions when or not to hunt on the app. I hunt when I can regardless of what it says.

At least you saw something. I don't hunt at GV, but it seems like things have been pretty tough out there.

Call the game warden and see when they have it scheduled.

Bucks are chasing does today. 2 small bucks almost ran a doe right into my lap.

It's cold and rainy now. I'm hoping the deer will start moving again soon.

Can you ever answer a question seriously? The sarcasm and misinformation gets old.

Telling someone to call a TPWD game warden when itís the USACE office that sets the rut schedule for Grapevine? Youíre the reason weíre losing Grapevine hunting in 2019.

Would you say the flooding helped or hurt the hunting out there this year?

I would say helped and hurt. It helped push the deer closer to the access points, but also hurt by pushing them out of the legal shooting areas. Flower Mound has seen more bucks in the neighbors that ever before. One a bright note, since the water receded, the pigs have made there way back to the creek.

Great guys. I was bored that afternoon and the woods were empty so I decided to see what I could sneak up on. Ended up finding Casey and Troy. On a bright note, I did find a spot with some doe traffic.

Just after the flood that spot had alot of buck traffic moving through. As it receded they seemed to move out with the water. Good luck tomorrow. Imngonna make another trip up end of next week for one last try.

Grapevine is so much better for big bucks.

Been a slow couple days, nothing during daylight other than a coyote and an armadillo. Someone must have shot the last deer while I was gone hunting South Texas.
