My former DXT developed that habit and it took a limb pocket cleaning and lube to fix it.

Also check the grip. I had the same issue and found out the wood handle outsert made noise. Had to swap it out.

If it’s a Hoyt, I’m sure it’s in your limb pockets. You can try and back the limbs out and try oil. After season I’d take it down, and put some grease in the pockets. Good luck.
