I Was researching for a close range heavy hitter in an AR15 platform to pair with my trusty .35 Remington lever gun. I can reload same bullet for both but don’t want to invest in a dead round. Anyone have actual experience with it?

Jim,
I just can't buy into it...so we kinda gotta 300 blackout length round with a standard bolt face in the 35cal that will likely never become common or popular.
Look at the 458 Socom or 50 Beowulf if you want to go down the big bore AR-15 rabbit hole platform. These are more established & give you a better out on resale if you decide down the road it wasn't the game for you.

I'd like to stay with 358 becuase I load for my 35 remington the 200 grain Hornady FTX. I know there are a ton of wildcats out there. I was looking for anyone with first hand knowledge of this round, 358 yeti, not just rely on the guys who developed it telling me what it will do. Besides it isn't 300 blackout size but a cut down 308 so it has more room in it than a cut down 223. I appreciate all the information. Does anyone know of a 358 Socom possibly?
