Doesn't appear to be. Most flocked to Parler which is gone, and Gab which had a huge influx and can't handle it and/or may be targeted for ddos. Have heard about Clouthub and also MeWe but haven't joined either yet.

MeWe is the only thing that's still up for me. Gab and Parler are down. I never heard of Clouthub before. Maybe they're up, if anyone is on that one?

seems like it is halfway between Twitter and Facebook.

Side note - I love the fact that Twitter was down 12%, $5B in market cap today. May not last, but the message is clear.

i saw a couple days ago that they've had a 750% increase in signups, and it's probably gone way up since then. They own their own servers so they're having to add them and people are filling them up as fast as they get them up and running. they should have it running smoothly again soon.

I signed up on Gab yesterday. Have to be patient, took me two tries and some waiting. They are overwhelmed right now

Gab is up and running and it’s a little faster now. Still not perfect though!

And to say I've been on Gab pretty hot and heavy lately and haven't seen anything racist, anti-semitic, white supremacist, etc. Just anti SOCIALISM and anti COMMUNISM.

And anti-beans in chili.

yeah wikipedia has been going pretty hard and heavy on the left wing narrative kool-aid. they are constantly getting caught retroactively changing long standing things to fit the modern narrative. back when the covid ridiculousness started they changed their spanish flu page to make the death rate more closely match what was being said about covid at the time.

for me, i treat wikipedia as one step away from the lamestream media, which has been in nonstop lying mode since Trump won the primary in 2016. if the lamestream media says something even remotely political i assume it's false unless otherwise proven right, and similarly for wikipedia, i assume it's probably false but could be true in certain contexts. in this case they're just recycling the standard "i'll call anyone racist that doesn't jump on my bandwagon and call it a day" story. i just did a few random spot checks on their citations and they're seem heavy on accusations, light on proof.

I'd find an online place and a non-internet required device to keep in touch with others and send communication to people if you need to.
You never know, this place may be shut down without any warning, your Facebook, Cell connection, Text Messaging, etc... may be shut down for whatever reason, find a way to send messages without the need of internet if you need to inform people of something or ask for help.

better safe than sorry. hopefully the folks at Gab can accommodate for the higher than expected traffic, but even Gab is no good with no internet.

go to where it says "Sort by Top Posts" and then "Recent Activity" and see if it makes a difference!!!

Figured it out. Select the drop down list where you see "Top Posts" and select "Recent." That made everything show up for me.
