I wanna go up this weekend but It depends how wet it is. Would like to put protein in my feeder and move my camper up.

Saw turkeys the last 2 times I was at the lease but that was probably a month ago.

Kids and I made a quick trip out to the lease, arriving Friday night and back home Saturday late. Ashton and Breck got on gobblers Saturday morning after the rain showers. Brecks bird was an old bruiser, great spurs and thick long beard.

Got a little feed out and picked up a couple sheds. All in all a good weekend to get way from the "V" mess.

Hope all are doing well and hang in there.

We hunted hard all weekend, two guys in the group killed. Lots of birds in the area this year. Gobblers were vocal but just about impossible to get to come to a call. Should be a lot better in another week or two.

Congrats on the birds! It was slow out our way as well, most Toms look to be henned up. Did have one big strutter come in and a buddy of mine missed him.! Fun weekend none the less

2.1” across the tracks in Christoval area with the Sanfords. Fast and furious .... some pea-sized hail.

Had a great weekend and sealed the deal on a gobbler. The birds were gobbling and responding to calls great this weekend. I shot a bird Friday at home and this one Saturday morning. I topped my feeders off and the big buck I passed on is confirmed to have made it through the season and he’s helping himself to the protein. Found a matching set of small sheds, they were about 10 feet apart.

Had a very productive weekend at the lease. Set up a couple gun blinds, filled some feeders found a nice matching pair of sheds, crawfish boil and one of our members killed 2 gobblers. I even found a dead buck we named “Diamond”. This was an old buck that I had been chasing for the last 5 years. Never could pattern him as he turned mostly nocturnal during season.

I thought about possibly bringing up the Idea of a crawfish boil at our lease. I keep having to work when all the fellas are at the lease though. (or the fishing has been way to good at Big Sam lol)

For what it's worth, they were on fire around Christoval last weekend. Gobbling every direction, responding to calls well.
