I know of three or four ranches in eastern Webb Co. that have them. A buddy saw a sable wandering loose on a county road a few weeks ago.

I just talked to our ranch foreman and he said there was a sable running in the bar ditch off 59 a month or so ago. He saw him with his own eyes so I’d tend to believe him too. What the heck is going on down here

Are those permitted to hunt?

For a little while they became off limits. The feds categorized them like the Pierre David Deer. You couldn't hunt them without a special permit (despite being exotic). However within a few years they went back on it and they're fair game again. Um be sure you don't post any LDPs with a tag in its ear.
