When he started out his shows were okay. Then he got into the deer breeder stuff and went in a direction I wasn't interested in so . . .
Good shot though.

If only it was closer! I’d “pull the trigger” on that.

Yes that is him. He does a RV radio show now and owns a campground on Lake Buchanan. I think it's Big Chief RV &Cabins Resort.

He might have ruined part of a neck roast, but I think he'll still be alright in that department.

Is a .50 BMG really that different than a .458 Lott or .460 NE? Not sure I would have gone the BMG route personally, but who cares?? Keep hunting, and keep being conservationists! It's what keeps this wheel rolling.

I respect the fact that he showed his goof up from the scope hitting him. He also showed hunting ethics by passing on the wildebeest. He did a great job of explaining how the giraffe would be used. I don’t know what else y’all want.

“Not sure why anyone would want to shoot a giraffe in the head with a 50 BMG.”

Because he can, and he got paid to do it.
Agreed. As long as it's not illegal I don't have a problem with it. He has another video with his son that he shot a buck with the same gun. Thought that was a little over the top. Not going to criticize how someone else decides to hunt, we have enough anti's for that.

Wow at the blood coming out. I’m surprised it went as far as it did.

I loved watching him and his brother growing up, "Fishing Texas" was the show that stands out in my mind the most. Went to a seminar at Gander Mountain in Spring years ago and met him there. I haven't watched him in years, I will say he definitely has my dream job!

Nice shot Keith!
I also grew up watching him on Fishing Texas. I got the chance to guide him, owner of Bowtec, and the owner of Savage on a javi hunt down south. He has some cool toys and my dream job also.

I don’t have a desire to shoot a giraffe.

But I 110% support someone doing so.

Nearly all of you are fine with folks killing tame sheep at Thompson Temples. But gripe about a dude shooting a wild giraffe? Lol.

I really don't have any desire to shoot a giraffe either. But if somebody gave me a .50cal and said "You see that giraffe way out there?"

"Uh huh...."

"Shoot that giraffe with this gun."....Well.........why wouldn't I? That would be awesome.

Can’t stand the guy. I could possibly see where they would say they did it not to ruin any meat but that would be the only reason.

Is he the one that did the Texas off shore fishing show years ago?
The show always ended with him taking his catch to a place in Port Aransas and having them recipe/cook It.
