Killed a nice canvasback drake this weekend. Looking for recommendations within a couple hours of Houston for a taxidermist. Last couple guys I used are no longer doing them. Anyone got someone that does decent work?

There is guy on here out of La Grange (I think) that does pretty good work.

Also, there is a younger couple that does awesome work that goes back and forth from houston and south carolina (they are moving here permanently next year). They knock out mounts in 2-3 weeks when they come this way. They have done a few for me and some buddies and big fans of how they look.
I spoke with them last week and they are planning a trip in the next few weeks if that fits your timeline and you want a quick turnaround.

Morgan's taxidermy in Tyler, Tx. He specialized in birds and cats. He sends people with deer to other people so he can focus on his birds! Guy has been doing taxidermy for 30+ years.

Birdman Studios in Colorado is the best. He’s not cheap, but worth it in my opinion
