I grew up in NOLA and am very familiar with this story. Went to school with the children from NO police officers’ Saacks and Hosli. It was known as the “Howard Johnson Sniper”. Charles Pitman has always been revered as a hero to those in New Orleans ... that dude saved many lives.

Remember this horrible event well. As a kid watching on TV from Houma.while my dad was in the hospital at Oshner's in NOLA at the time fighting his battle with cancer.

Dang, shot him 200 times. You can definitely tell this wasn't in recent times cause there'd be more riots over a deal like that. How was there anything left to him after taking that many rounds?
